Job summary

McLeod Health is seeking a skilled analytics professional to configure, test, and optimize Epic content across applications. You will craft dashboards and reports using Chronicles, Clarity, Caboodle, and Radar, and maintain data catalogs and metadata for stakeholders.

Responsibilities include SQL writing, data extraction, and on‑call support to ensure reliable, accurate analytics for clinical and operational users across the system.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of application modification and computer system support.
• Three years PC-oriented experience with word processing and spreadsheets.
• Report writing, data extraction, and database knowledge.
• Proficiency with SQL and relational database concepts.
• Proficiency and demonstrated experience with analytics tools.
• Familiarity with Epic applications and database structure, through training that occurs early in the implementation.
• Associate degree in Healthcare/Computer Science/Business or equivalent work experience required.

Job description

Responsibilities:

1. Configures and tests Epic‑released and Foundation System content for all applications, including:

   1. Reporting Workbench

   2. Slicer Dicer Data Models

   3. Radar Dashboards

   4. Cogito SQL

2. Creates content to display Epic data from Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle.

3. Writes SQL and configures Radar settings for custom SQL metrics.

4. Modifies existing reports, as necessary.

5. Distributes analytics content to data consumers.

6. Reviews peer reports for validity.

7. Works with subject matter experts to understand the needs of data consumers.

8. Maintains the Analytics Catalog and associated metadata records.

9. Tests analytics build in a specified testing environment and volume tests in live environments.

10. Reviews upgrade documentation related to Clarity and Caboodle features and determines how to implement the changes.

11. BIDs might also be responsible for building and maintaining:

    1. Cubes

    2. Extracts

    3. Slicer Dicer Custom Filters

    4. Third‑party BI Tools

12. Participates in an on‑call rotation for 24/7 support.

13. Other duties as assigned.
