Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Epic Business Intelligence Developer (BID) to design, build, and maintain reporting on Epic data. This remote role connects Clarity, Caboodle, and Cogito with Databricks/AWS to support clinical, operational, and AI-driven analytics, including the Chat's 'Ask the Data' capability.

Qualifications

• Active Epic certification as a BI Developer, or current Clarity/Caboodle certifications.
• 4+ years of hands-on Epic reporting and analytics development.
• Advanced SQL (T-SQL) and knowledge of Clarity and Caboodle data models.
• Experience building Radar, SlicerDicer, and Reporting Workbench content.
• Experience with PHI under HIPAA controls.
• Ability to gather requirements directly with clinical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to decide when to use Epic native tools vs broader Databricks/AWS platform.

Responsibilities

• Write and optimize SQL against Epic Clarity and Caboodle for reporting.
• Build and extend Caboodle data model components and ETL packages.
• Develop Epic-native analytics: Radar dashboards, SlicerDicer, Reporting Workbench, Cogito metrics.
• Design data feeds from Clarity/Caboodle into Databricks and AWS with data quality mappings.
• Evaluate platform choices and articulate rationale to stakeholders.
• Lead discovery sessions and document reporting requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Support AI and NLP analytics by curating governed datasets.
• Collaborate with Epic analysts on build changes and upgrades.
• Follow PHI, security, and data governance standards.
