Job summary

SYSCOM, Inc. is seeking an Epic BI Applications Specialist for a remote contract engagement. The role triages analytics requests, selects the right tools (Cogito, Tableau, etc.), builds and validates content, and maintains the Analytics Catalog to meet governance standards.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus two years in healthcare analytics and hands-on Cogito experience, with the ability to onboard from documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a healthcare analytics field.
• Hands-on Epic Cogito experience with Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer and Analytics Catalog.
• Experience with analytics content governance, content owners and review cycles.
• Familiarity with Epic's Gold Star and Honor Roll programs is preferred.
• Ability to onboard from written documentation with minimal ramp-up time.

Responsibilities

• Triage analytics requests and choose the appropriate Epic reporting tool (Cogito, Tableau, etc.).
• Build, test and validate reporting content; maintain the Analytics Catalog and metadata.
• Support governance standards and coordinate with build teams and reviewers.
• Independently develop dashboards and reporting solutions and ensure governance is followed.

Job details

This position triages analytics requests and determines the appropriate reporting tool (Clarity/Caboodle reports, Extract Framework, Radar, Analytics Catalog, Registry Framework, data marts, Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer and Tableau), then builds, tests and validates the resulting content. It also maintains the Analytics Catalog and its metadata and supports our ongoing work to meet Epic's Gold Star and Honor Roll analytics governance standards. Minimum qualifications are a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 2 years in a healthcare-related field.

Minimum Qualifications

• Hands-on Epic Cogito experience: Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, Radar dashboards and the Analytics Catalog

• Experience with analytics content governance, such as assigning content owners, reviewers and build teams, and managing review and renewal cycles

• Familiarity with Epic's Gold Star and Honor Roll programs (preferred)

• Ability to onboard from written documentation with minimal ramp-up time

• The role requires experience with Epic Cogito reporting tools, analytics governance, dashboard development, and the ability to independently build, test, and validate reporting solutions.

• Candidates should have at least have Cogito Fundamentals experience and training - additional certifications are definitely a plus.
