Job summary

Adventist HealthCare seeks an experienced Epic Ancillary Application Manager to lead Epic teams through implementation, optimization, testing, and go-live planning. You will supervise analysts, manage performance, and coordinate with project leaders and vendors for integrated delivery across the enterprise.

You will oversee upgrades and governance, ensure readiness and production support, and partner with clinical and revenue cycle stakeholders to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, healthcare administration, clinical informatics, business administration, computer science, nursing, or related field.
• Minimum of six years of experience in a clinical area and information technology, including EHR implementation and application support.
• Minimum of three years of management experience preferred; experience leading teams and initiatives is a plus.
• Epic certifications or proficiencies, PMP, and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Experience leading Epic implementations, upgrades and governance across multiple Epic apps is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Epic Ancillary Application Manager who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As an Epic Ancillary Application Manager, you will:

• Leads assigned Epic application teams through implementation, optimization, testing, integrated workflows, go-live planning, stabilization, upgrades and ongoing support while ensuring project scope, quality, and timelines are achieved.
• Directly supervises Epic application analysts, including work assignments, performance management, professional development, resource allocation, workload balancing, coaching, and hiring support.
• Coordinates application activities with the Project Director, project managers, operational leaders, technical teams, vendors, training, testing, reporting, and other application teams to ensure integrated delivery across the enterprise.
• Oversees application support, upgrades and optimization, including issue management, risk identification, escalation, workflow decisions, change control, integrated planning, and leadership status reporting.
• Ensures application build, workflow design, testing, validation, integrated readiness, cutover preparation, and production support activities meet organizational standards and Epic implementation practices.
• Partners with operational leaders, clinical stakeholders, revenue cycle leaders, physician champions, subject matter experts, and Epic representatives to ensure application solutions support operational, regulatory, and patient care objectives.
• Develops team capabilities through mentoring, performance feedback, certification planning, knowledge transfer, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Maintains expertise in Epic application functionality, healthcare technology trends, interoperability concepts, implementation methods, and organizational priorities.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in information technology, healthcare administration, clinical informatics, business administration, computer science, nursing, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in a clinical area and information technology, including electronic health record implementation, application support, clinical informatics, healthcare operations, or related healthcare technology experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of management experience preferred. Experience leading application teams, technical staff, or healthcare information technology initiatives is preferred.
• Additional Epic certifications or proficiencies preferred
• Project Management Professional preferred
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
• Experience leading Epic implementations, upgrades, optimization initiatives, and application governance is preferred. Experience supporting integrated workflows across multiple Epic applications and using IT service management practices is preferred.

Work Schedule:

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Hours per Week: 40 hours/week
• Typical Daily Schedule: 8 am-5 pm Monday through Friday

Pay Range:

$116,227.90 - $174,341.85
