Job description

The EPC Project Manager will support the full spectrum of project management activities on industrial capital projects (Engineering, Construction, and EPC). Working under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager or POD Leader, the PM will develop hands‑on competency across project controls, client coordination, scope management, and field execution — building toward or in some cases managing independent ownership of small‑to‑mid‑size projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Supports the Senior PM in day-to-day project management activities across FEL/Detailed Engineering, EPC, and self‑perform construction scopes.
  • On a case by case basis can serve as a secondary point of contact with clients; builds working relationships to develop trust and familiarity with client teams.
  • Assists in scope alignment between internal engineering, procurement, and construction teams and client representatives.
  • Participates in bid walks, proposal preparation, and client presentations under direction of senior staff.
  • Tracks project execution baseline (schedule, budget, scope) and escalates variances to the responsible Senior PM.
  • Supports overall change management process: logs RFIs, CCNs, and MOCs; prepares draft documentation for Senior PM review.
  • Monitors project financials including budget status, cost forecasting, invoicing milestones, and subcontract commitments.
  • Facilitates and documents internal project team meetings; prepares meeting minutes and distributes action items.
  • Coordinates with clients on routine project communications, submittals, and action item tracking.
  • Works across multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced environment; prioritizes effectively under competing deadlines.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Strongly Preferred) with Construction Management or a related technical discipline considered.
  • 7-10 years of experience in the capital projects environment (engineering and/or construction with EPC a major plus).
  • 2–4 years of direct project management or project engineering experience on industrial EPC projects.
  • Project engineering or construction engineering background on industrial projects (Downstream, Midstream, Chemical, or similar).
  • Experience supporting or managing projects ranging from $1M–$25M; exposure to larger scopes a plus.
