Job summary

The Planet Group is looking for a Construction Cost Estimator in Jackson, Michigan, to prepare complete estimates for various projects. This role requires a minimum of 1-2 years of estimating experience and knowledge in disciplines such as Civil, Structural, and Mechanical.

As an estimator, you will utilize industry-standard guidelines, prepare quantity takeoffs, and coordinate estimating efforts for assigned projects. Familiarity with Cost Estimating software is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of construction cost estimating working experience.
• Knowledge of assigned discipline and ability to interpret computerized cost data is essential.
• Familiarity with Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, I&C, Pipeline, Storage, M&R estimating disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete estimates for medium size projects of various contract types.
• Develop pricing using industry standard guidelines.
• Prepare quantity takeoff and utilize software tools daily.
• Review specifications and drawings to determine scope of work.
• Coordinate total estimating effort for assigned bids/projects.
