Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a caring Electrophysiology Technician for a PRN opportunity. You will greet patients, comfort them, and transport them to the EP Lab, then assist the physician during invasive EP procedures.

You may also transport patients to recovery and help prepare equipment for procedures. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Biology, Anatomy, or related field, with RCIS/RCES preferred, two years EP experience, and ACLS/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of Electrophysiology experience.
• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist) preferred.
• ACLS and BLS required.
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, arrhythmia identification, hemodynamic changes and all interventional devices/procedures (EP/ablation/coronary/peripheral).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, comfort them and transport them to the EP Lab.
• Assist the physician during invasive EP procedures.
• Assemble supplies and equipment needed for procedures.
• Monitor patient during procedures and assist the physician.
• Assist in cleaning and sterilization of equipment after procedures.
• May transport patients to recovery.

• Assist in soothing and positioning patients
• Maintain sterile techniques
• During procedures, monitor the patient as you assist the physician
• After the procedure, gather equipment for cleaning and sterilization
• May also transport patients to recovery

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Biology, Anatomy, Physiology or related field
• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist) preferred
• Two (2) years of Electrophysiology experience
• ACLS and BLS required
