Heart Hospital of Austin seeks an Electro physiology Lab Technologist to support cardiac procedures, monitor patients, and operate EP lab equipment. You will assist physicians, maintain sterile technique, and manage data entry for case records.

Requirements include 2 years in EP/Cath Lab, graduation from Cardiovascular Tech or Radiologic Tech programs, RCIS or ARRT with BLS and ACLS per policy, and ongoing safety responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Competenze

• Two years of electro physiology or cardiac cath lab experience performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program or Radiologic Technology program.
• RCIS within 6 months OR Radiologic Technologist certified and ARRT registered upon hire.
• BLS and ACLS certifications as per policy.

Mansioni

• Provide safe patient care during cardiac procedures.
• Operate and maintain EP lab equipment and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
• Assist physicians during procedures and document steps, supplies, and patient condition.
• Position x-ray camera for fluoroscopy and angiography and ensure proper views.
• Monitor patient condition in holding area and assist with hemostasis post-procedure.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary

As anElectro physiologyLab Technologist(EP Tech),youare responsible forproviding a safe patient care environment that aids in the diagnosis and treatment of patients experiencing cardiac procedures. You willmaintainand operate the physiological systems,assistphysicians during the procedures, and perform unit-based activities, which contribute to a positive and professional work environment.

• You will demonstrate familiarity with the basics of radiation/radiation safety.

• You will positionx-ray camera for fluoroscopy/angiography.

• You will pan table to accurately visualizerequested/appropriate views.

• You will perform daily checks to ensure proper equipment function.

• You will demonstratesteriletechnique for handling sterile instruments/supplies.

• You will proficiently enter data onEPHemodynamic Monitoring system.

• You will assistwith monitoring patient condition throughout procedure including, but not limited to rhythm Vital signs, response to interventions, art lines.

• You will document required procedure steps, supplies used and patient condition into medicalrecordthroughout case.

• You will communicate with the Circulating nurse supplies used for patient chargeticketand verify accuracy.

• You will monitorpatients in holding area as assigned

• You will proficiently remove sheaths and hold pressure to achieve hemostasis.

• You will demonstrateproficiencywith equipment in EP Lab.

Experience

• Two yearsElectro physiology orCardiac Cath Lab experienceperforming both diagnostic and interventional procedures–preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• If Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS):Requiredwithin 6 months OR If Radiologic Technologist: Certified through Texas Medical Board and registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT):Requiredupon hire
