• Setting: Electrophysiology EP Lab
• Employment Type: Locum tenens travel nursing assignment
• Start Date: September 29, 2025
• End Date: January 24, 2026
• Duration: 17 weeks
• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (days, some late evenings, holidays, on-call; no weekends)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2810–$2880

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York RN license (required for NY nursing jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of EP Lab or cardiac nursing experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Proficiency in moderate sedation
• Epic electronic health record documentation experience
• Preferred: Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience; familiarity with GE MacLab & CardioLab systems

EP Lab RN Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic electrophysiology procedures and cardiac interventions, including electrocardiograms
• Prepare patients and equipment for EP studies and ablations as circulator nurse
• Maintain fluids for ablation catheters and support ablator during procedures
• Support anesthesia and document patient status during studies and ablations
• Provide backup pacing during cardiac device implants
• Facilitate efficient room turnover and ensure on-time starts for patient care
• Coordinate with charge nurse and third-party vendors for scheduled cardiac procedures
• Perform and assist with RF and cryo ablations (A-fib/flutter, atrial tach, AVNRT, WPW), device implants (pacemakers, ICDs, leadless ppm, loops), LAAC (Watchmans, Amulets), and HRE (laser and low risk)
