Job summary

Ascentek is seeking an Environmental Technician to support industrial customers with preventive maintenance and fluid service at metalworking facilities. You will travel to customer sites, perform maintenance, and assist with handling industrial fluids while learning equipment and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Willingness to learn maintenance and fluid service processes.
  • Ability to perform repetitive and physically demanding work safely.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
  • Valid driver's license depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning on industrial machinery and metalworking fluid systems at customer sites.
  • Remove, replace, recycle, and process metalworking fluids and related materials.
  • Collect, transport, and properly dispose of used fluids, waste, and debris per safety rules.
  • Follow service checklists and instructions to complete maintenance tasks accurately.
  • Assist with mixing, diluting, and verifying chemical solutions used in industrial processes.
  • Set up and operate service equipment for machine cleaning and fluid management.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at customer facilities.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and service equipment as required.
  • Drive company service vehicles to customer locations and maintain vehicle readiness.
  • Communicate effectively with teammates and customers in active manufacturing environments.
  • Identify safety risks, equipment issues, or improvement opportunities during service work.
  • Support continuous improvement to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Follow EHSS policies, safety procedures, and PPE guidelines.
  • Represent Ascentek professionally by delivering dependable service and building relationships.

The Environmental Technician supports industrial customers by performing preventive maintenance and fluid service on metalworking equipment and systems. Working alongside experienced teammates, this role helps maintain machine performance, fluid quality, and safe working environments at customer facilities. Technicians travel to customer locations to clean equipment, remove and replace industrial fluids, and support service projects that keep production operations running smoothly. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning technical equipment, and building relationships with customers while delivering dependable service.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning on industrial machinery and metalworking fluid systems at customer sites

Education:
  • High school diploma or GED
Experience and/or Training:
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, janitorial, warehouse, labor, or industrial environments preferred
  • Willingness to learn industrial maintenance, preventative maintenance, and fluid service processes
  • Ability to perform repetitive and physically demanding work safely
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and standardized procedures
License/Certification:
  • Valid driver's license depending on assignment

Physical, Mental, Environmental Demands:
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting throughout shifts
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds independently
  • Exposure to industrial equipment, chemicals, coolants, and manufacturing environments
  • Ability to maneuver around machinery and confined workspaces
  • Work performed at customer manufacturing and industrial facilities
