Job summary

AECOM seeks an Environmental Technician I to join our Long Beach, CA team. You will perform environmental sampling, collect and analyze data, and help ensure regulatory compliance across projects.

The role requires travel to client sites in the region, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions while maintaining precise records and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass client background and drug screening requirements.
• Ability to travel to client sites using AE C O M vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental sampling and monitoring activities in field locations.
• Collect, record, and analyze environmental data using specialized equipment.
• Assist in preparation of environmental reports and documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments for hazards.
• Maintain and calibrate monitoring equipment.
• Support environmental projects with team collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
• Assist in remediation activities as needed.
• Develop and implement environmental management plans.
• Maintain accurate records of field activities and data.
