Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a 3rd shift team member to handle hazardous materials and operate forklift equipment in a physically demanding environment in California. You will comply with all safety rules and complete required paperwork accurately.

The role requires 2+ years of hazardous materials experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work nights and weekends as needed. A comprehensive benefits package and union considerations apply.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, treat, store, transport and/or dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with environmentally responsible and compliant practices, policies, and procedures.
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
• Operating a forklift and other mobile equipment to move containers to and from storage and treatment areas and to load and unload trailers.
• Complete required documentation accurately, timely and legibly in accordance with applicable regulations and customer policies, practices and procedures.

This is a physically active job where you’ll be:

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• 2+ years of prior experience working with hazardous materials
• High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
• Ability to operate equipment, including a forklift and pallet jack

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Basic computer skills to complete web-based training
• Ability to understand and respond to written and verbal English
• Ability to predictably and regularly attend work during scheduled hours. Must be willing and able to occasionally work nights, weekends and variable schedule(s) as necessary.
• Ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers

Additional Information

Pay starting at $23.00 - $23.00 hourly
