Job summary
Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. in Athens, PA is seeking an Environmental Technician to join our field team working on natural gas, power/renewable, and commercial development projects.
You will perform on-site inspections of waterlines and pipelines under director supervision of project managers. Responsibilities include observing, recording, and reporting to ensure regulatory compliance and proper erosion control, and summarizing notes in daily and weekly reports.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of technician/inspection experience.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors independently in varying weather with safety procedures.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work as a team player and take direction.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site inspections of construction and temporary waterlines, natural gas pipelines, and related projects.
- Observe, record, and report observations to ensure environmental regulation compliance and proper erosion control.
- Summarize observations in daily inspection and weekly reports.
- Assist with environmental sampling, infiltration testing, survey stakeouts, and related tasks as needed.
