A leader in water treatment and recycling is seeking an Environmental Technician in Taylor, Texas. Responsibilities

  • Perform job duties safely in compliance with policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collect trash, recyclables, and hazardous waste.
  • Transport waste/recyclables to appropriate locations.
  • Complete required reports and documentation accurately.
  • Operate equipment safely in compliance with policies.
  • Load semi‑trailers and roll‑off boxes for shipment to landfill or recycling centers.
  • Maintain storage areas and drum pads in accordance with regulations.
  • Document and notify manager of any contamination in recycling containers.
  • Complete required reports and documentation accurately and submit on time.
  • Participate in meetings to assess the work environment for safety and effectiveness.
  • Operate equipment safely in compliance with policies, including forklift, tuggers, and transport carts.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks on mobile equipment before and after use, reporting defects promptly.
  • Demonstrate commitment to learning and staying current with safety practices, policies, and regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and support others as needed.
  • Promote and contribute to a safety culture and positive work environment.
  • Perform additional job duties as requested to support business operations.

Environmental Technician

Veolia | North America – a leading private water operator, technology provider, and hazardous waste and pollution treatment leader in the United States. The company operates more than 350 locations nationwide and employs over 10,000 people.

This position is located at a Semiconductor Manufacturing Facility and involves working in industrial settings such as assembly plants, metal fabrication plants, refineries, and power train plants.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities
  • Perform job duties safely in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment, including work areas, equipment, locker rooms, break rooms, and offices.
  • Report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared.
  • Collect trash, recyclables, and hazardous waste from various facility locations.
  • Break down scrap parts for repair or recycling.
  • Transport waste/recyclables to the appropriate disposal container or storage location.
  • Load semi‑trailers and roll‑off boxes for shipment to landfill or recycling centers.
  • Maintain storage areas and drum pads in accordance with regulations.
  • Document and notify manager of any contamination in recycling containers.
  • Complete required reports and documentation accurately and submit on time.
  • Participate in meetings to assess the work environment for safety and effectiveness.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Read and understand instructions in English.
  • Push/pull and frequently lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity for small hand tools and parts.
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull equipment of various sizes and weights.
  • Ability to sit, stand, climb ladders, reach both below knees and above shoulders, kneel, and crawl to access work areas.
  • Stand, walk, bend, and stoop frequently; reach forward and grasp equipment comfortably.
  • Maintain balance and walk on wet, slick, metallic grates, narrow platforms, and uneven surfaces.
  • Work in loud, cold, hot, wet, and dry environments.
Required Certification / Licenses / Training
  • Valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements

Successfully complete a drug screen, pre‑employment physical, and a safety‑sensitive background check.
