Job summary

A leading infrastructure development company is seeking an Environmental Management Specialist in Aiken, South Carolina. What You’ll Do Here
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of processes for environmental management, waste management, and chemical management.
  • Prepare documentation and reports including environmental performance reports, information and tracking reports, and environment condition reports.
  • Perform field inspections and surveys of environmental related activities to observe and document environmental hazards or regulatory violations.
  • Create sampling and analysis plans in accordance with environmental management processes.
  • Participate in the preparation, monitoring, and implementation of corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and coach/mentor project management and staff in the execution of field activities related to the Environmental Management System.
  • Participate in environmental audits, assessments, and inspections conducted by others.
  • Provide information as necessary to project managers in support of environmental awareness and regarding potential environmental risks and impacts.
  • Maintain awareness of environmental legal requirements and amendments applicable to the projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring To The Team
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or Biology/Geoscience is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in the environmental management field. Familiar with applicable Federal/state EPA requirements.
  • Experience working in a nuclear and/or construction environment is an asset.
  • Comprehensive understanding of industry standard environmental site assessment practices and processes.
  • Must have demonstrable experience developing and managing environmental management programs in accordance with ISO requirements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment.

This position requires access to nuclear facilities and information governed by U.S. federal regulations. As a result, applicants must be U.S. citizens to meet eligibility and security clearance requirements.
