Job Summary:

Performs cleaning and trash removal functions, carpet and hard surface maintenance, in all areas of the hospital on a routine and project basis. Will maintain equipment in clean, working condition; demonstrate knowledge of proper use of chemicals and other supplies. Will be responsible for moving furniture and equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers/shampooers, housekeeping carts, etc., and be exposed to various types of chemicals. Appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.

• Demonstrate the ability to clean and maintain equipment.

Qualifications:

Education/Skills

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Work Experience:

One year previous work experience preferred. Previous experience in housekeeping or in healthcare field preferred.
