Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for an Environmental Systems Assistant Regional Supervisor in the Northern Region of Maryland, located at the Dorsey Run facility in Jessup, MD, within our Water/Wastewater Group.

The position is responsible for the overall management of water, wastewater and industrial wastewater treatment systems in a designated region, including administration and supervision of all operations and maintenance activities and personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with CSUS self-study courses approved by the Chief of Operations.
• CSUS four courses must be approved; MES allows 18 months to complete.
• CSUS Manage for Success management course must be completed for this position.
• 2 years as Environmental Systems Supervisor with MES.
• OR 7 years of progressively responsible experience operating water, wastewater, or industrial wastewater treatment systems, including at least two years supervising or directing plant personnel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee water, wastewater and industrial wastewater treatment systems within a designated region.
• Administer and supervise all operations, maintenance activities and personnel.
• Ensure compliance with pre-employment screenings, background checks, drug and alcohol screening, and position-specific physical.

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for an Environmental Systems Assistant Regional Supervisor in the Northern Region of Maryland, located at the Dorsey Run facility in Jessup, MD, within our Water/Wastewater Group. This position is responsible for overall management of the water, wastewater and industrial wastewater treatment systems that the Maryland Environmental Service is responsible for within a designated region. This includes the administration and supervision of all operations and maintenance activities and personnel.

Estimated Pay Range

$84,935.76 - $116,800.32

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or state high school equivalency certificate and satisfactory completion of the following self-study courses from the California State University, Sacramento (CSUS):
• - 1. The four (CSUS) courses must be approved by the Chief of Operations. If all or additional courses are needed to meet this requirement, MES will allow 18 months for the employee to complete the required courses.
• - 2. The “Manage for Success” or equivalent CSUS management course that is approved by the MES Training Office must also be completed for this position.
• AND 2 years as an Environmental Systems Supervisor with the Maryland Environmental Service
• OR 7 years of progressively responsible experience as an operator of water, wastewater or industrial wastewater treatment systems, including at least two years supervising or directing plant personnel.

Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.
