Job summary

Essel in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead environmental construction, remediation, and infrastructure projects across Federal, commercial, and private sector markets.

You will be a seller-doer, driving strategic planning, business development, client management, and successful project execution while coordinating with internal teams, partners, and subcontractors to meet schedule, budget, safety, and quality objectives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience within the environmental construction, remediation, or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal agencies such as the US Army Corps of Engineers, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, or other government entities.
  • Experience managing projects and client relationships throughout the Pacific/Western Region.
  • Knowledge of commercial, private sector, and governmental contracting environments.
  • Proven experience in business development, strategic planning, and proposal support.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Teams, and Outlook.

  • Balance project delivery responsibilities with sales, utilization, and client development efforts.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring schedule, budget, safety, and quality objectives are achieved.

  • 3+ years of experience supporting business development and proposal efforts.
  • Experience interfacing with senior government, commercial, and private sector stakeholders.
  • Professional certifications or registrations such as PE, PG, PMP, QSP, or similar credentials preferred.
