Position: Environmental Specialist III/IV

Employment Type: Direct Hire / Full-Time

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist III/IV to support enterprise-wide environmental compliance, remediation, sustainability, and operational excellence initiatives.

The role will support and lead environmental projects involving water, waste management, remediation, environmental compliance, regulatory requirements, environmental data management, audits, due diligence, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The position will collaborate with Operations, Legal, Land, Engineering, Safety, regulators, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to manage environmental risks and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
• Environmental Specialist III: Minimum 4 years of environmental experience
• Environmental Specialist IV: Minimum 8 years of environmental experience
• Strong experience in environmental compliance, water, waste management, remediation, or environmental assessment
• Experience interpreting and applying federal, state, and local environmental regulations
• Experience preparing environmental permits, renewals, approvals, variances, and regulatory documentation
• Experience conducting environmental compliance audits and/or due diligence investigations
• Experience with environmental planning, field studies, sampling, monitoring, inspections, data collection, and reporting
• Experience supporting or managing soil and groundwater investigations, remediation, site closure, and long-term compliance activities
• Experience developing and maintaining environmental compliance procedures, records, trackers, and technical documentation
• Ability to assess environmental risks and develop recommendations for corrective actions
• Experience coordinating environmental consultants and contractors, including scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with regulators, internal teams, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Experience preparing and delivering environmental training and awareness programs
• Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general PC applications
• Energy, oil & gas, pipeline, or utility industry experience is preferred
