Job summary

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Water Restoration Assistance, seeks an OPS Environmental Specialist III in Tallahassee to manage Clean Water SRF projects, ensure compliance with federal and state laws, and support program managers under supervision.

This on-site role requires applying scientific understanding to complex problems, coordinating with engineers and agencies, reviewing plans, disbursements and inspections, and reporting with Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• At least 4 years of verifiable related experience.
• Credential evaluation for foreign degrees if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Review planning documents for SRF program and prepare environmental information documents.
• Manage construction phases including disbursement requests and change orders.
• Coordinate with engineers, agencies, and the public on SRF projects.
• Assist field inspectors with documentation for compliance with federal requirements.
