Job summary

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection in Jacksonville is seeking an entry-level professional for the Environmental Resource Permitting Program. You will review and evaluate environmental permit applications and produce permits and compliance documents.

You will conduct site inspections and provide technical and regulatory assistance to permittees and other stakeholders, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support sound environmental decisions.

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of verifiable related experience in environmental or natural sciences.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to collect, evaluate, analyze and interpret scientific or technical reports.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver license.
