Job summary

GeoSystems Analysis, Inc., a Trinity Consultants team, is seeking an Environmental Specialist to join our southwest office. The role supports environmental projects by conducting field surveys, coordinating field efforts, and preparing technical reports while ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will lead field crews, analyze data, develop project documentation, and support environmental permitting and agency coordination.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Biology, or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field surveys and collect environmental data for a variety of project types.
  • Coordinate and lead field surveys and field crews across multiple projects and project types.
  • Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and other regulatory documentation.
  • Assist with the development and review of environmental plans, mitigation measures, and related project documentation.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies to support compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations.
  • Support environmental permitting processes and related agency coordination.
  • Analyze field and laboratory data and summarize findings for technical reporting.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, scientists, and other project team members to support project objectives.
  • Assist with public meetings, presentations, and other stakeholder communications related to environmental projects.
  • Assist project managers with coordinating project activities, assigning field tasks, and maintaining project schedules.
  • Maintain accurate field notes, records, data, and project files in accordance with project and regulatory requirements.

Job description

GeoSystems Analysis, Inc., a Trinity Consultants team, is seeking an Environmental Specialist to join our growing team in the southwest. The Environmental Specialist supports environmental projects by conducting field surveys, coordinating field efforts, scheduling and leading field crews, preparing technical reports, ensuring regulatory compliance, assisting project managers, and supporting environmental permitting processes. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing environmental data, developing project documentation, coordinating with agencies, scheduling field efforts, leading field crews, and providing technical expertise to project teams. This position requires a solid understanding of environmental regulations, strong analytical skills, effective field leadership and coordination skills, and the ability to work independently in both field and office environments.

What will I be doing?

What qualifications are required for this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Biology, or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 1-4 years of experience in environmental science or related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permitting processes.
  • Experience conducting environmental field surveys and collecting environmental data.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead field crews and field activities.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 per year. In addition, Geosystems Analysis has a discretionary bonus program that considers business profitability and individual performance.
