Job summary

Applied Technical Services, LLC is seeking an Environmental Specialist to perform asbestos, lead, mold, and indoor air quality inspections, and to monitor air quality during abatement activities. You will prepare reports and assist in proposals for inspections and assessments.

The role requires 2–3 years of relevant experience, OSHA knowledge, and strong communication skills. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience conducting asbestos, lead, mold, and IAQ investigations.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and guidelines with willingness to continue learning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly document and present findings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct asbestos, lead paint, mold, and indoor air quality (IAQ) inspections.
• Perform air monitoring and work practice observations during abatement activities.
• Supervise abatement projects and ensure proper compliance with work practices and safety standards.
• Write reports detailing survey findings, air monitoring results, and abatement activities.
• Prepare proposals for inspections and air quality assessments.
• Perform mold and indoor air quality surveys.
• Other duties as assigned.
