Job summary

AdventHealth in Dade City, Florida is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Associate to maintain clean and safe patient and public areas. The role requires 2+ years in environmental services, high school graduation, and basic computer skills, with leadership experience preferred.

You will perform cleaning tasks, manage waste disposal, restock supplies, and ensure infection-control standards are met. Day shift, competitive pay, and benefits from day one are provided.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• 2+ years in environmental services experience.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash in an appropriate manner.
• Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, dust mopping, damp mopping, high dusting, wall washing, scrubbing, bed making and vacuuming.
• Collects and stages soiled linen for pick up.
• Cleans assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Stocks paper items and other supplies in assigned areas as necessary or designated.
• Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and proper operation of cleaning equipment.
• Documents all work performed.
• Stocks cart daily with paper products and cleaning solutions.
• Cleans patient rooms, public areas, restrooms, offices and ancillary rooms.
• Disposes of waste and biohazardous waste as required.
• Trains employees, addresses concerns and resolves problems.

Job Description:
