This position provides services necessary to prevent cross-contamination and the spread of infection between patients, visitors, and staff.**Key Responsibilities:*** Performs a variety of activities to clean assigned areas in patient rooms, operating rooms, pre-op/recovery rooms, and/or common areas of the hospital, according to established procedures* Completes assignments in an efficient manner while maintaining a high standard of work, ensuring the established guidelines and practices are met* Utilizes proper knowledge of safety, hospital codes and infection control measures according to established departmental guidelines* Demonstrates the ability to operate floor care machinery and other cleaning machines safely* Properly collect and dispose of regular trash, regulated medical waste and soiled linens**Preferred Qualifications:*** 1+ years of environmental services experience in a hospital setting* Floor Maintenance experienceThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.54/hour.Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
