Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Technician II to perform preventative cleaning and safe waste transport within the facility. You will operate floor scrubbers, maintain cleanliness, and support patient and guest relations while upholding hospital standards.

This role requires experience in hard surface floor care, carpet cleaning, and familiarity with healthcare environments. Onsite involvement and commitment to safety are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in hard surface floor care and carpet cleaning is required.
• Experience demonstrating mechanical aptitude to detect equipment malfunctions for safety to self and others is required.
• Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
• Experience in healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of floors in corridors and assigned areas using floor scrubbers and maintenance of cleaning standards.
• Use correct chemicals, supplies and tools for tasks; operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Transport hazardous, solid and recyclable waste to approved holding areas.
• Perform carpet extraction and wall/fixture cleaning as part of project cleaning.
• Maintain high QA scores and promote a positive image of the facility.
• Support patient and guest relations in line with hospital standards.
