Job summary

Select Medical is seeking an Environmental Services Technician (EVS)/Housekeeping in Miami Lakes, FL. Per Diem/PRN role with Day & Night shifts and a pay rate of $18.50 per hour.

You will maintain a clean environment in patient rooms, nurse stations, offices, hallways and public areas, following approved cleaning procedures and infection-control guidelines. The position supports hospital operations and patient care by ensuring sanitation, order and a welcoming, safe environment for patients,

Qualifications

• Previous Housekeeping experience required.
• Hospital EVS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean work environment in assigned areas, including patient rooms, staff areas and public spaces.
• Perform routine housekeeping tasks according to schedules and procedures.
• Clean furnishings, floors and equipment with approved solutions and disinfectants.
• Dust, arrange furniture and replenish supplies to sustain sanitation and order.

• Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas, which may include patient rooms, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators and lobby areas.
• Responsibility for the overall condition of the hospital, including sanitation, order, and appearance.
• Performing light manual work, ensuring that routine housekeeping tasks are being performed according to established schedules and procedures.
• Cleaning assigned areas by washing furnishings, floors, and equipment with special cleaning solutions and disinfectants to prevent the spread of disease.
• Using dust cloths and the vacuum cleaner to dust window sills, blinds, floors, and furniture; emptying ashtrays and trash buckets; arranging furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion.
• Making beds with clean linen in prescribed manner; scouring and polishing sinks, tubs, mirrors and similar equipment; replenishing supplies of soap, towels and other dispensable items.

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous Housekeeping experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospital EVS experience preferred.
