Job summary

Providence Swedish Edmonds is seeking a dedicated housekeeping professional to maintain the hospital’s highest standards of cleanliness and infection control across patient, staff, office, clinic, surgical, and visitor areas. The role requires proficiency in both basic and advanced cleaning techniques and supply stocking on shifts across multiple campuses.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-level cleanliness for patient, staff, office, clinic, surgical or visitor areas.
• Demonstrate proficiency in basic and advanced cleaning techniques and supply stocking.
• Safely use chemicals and equipment; follow infection control methods.
• Handle medical waste safely; demonstrate competence in computer use as required.
• Work in areas requiring advanced cleaning techniques such as Surgery, Labor & Delivery, NICU, ER, and Floorcare.

This position is a member of a multi-disciplinary team that maintains the physical environment of the hospital at the highest level of cleanliness, both from an appearance and infection control standpoint.This position is responsible for continuously demonstrating proficiency in both basic and more complex or advanced cleaning techniques and supply stocking that would be used in patient, staff, office, clinic, surgical or visitor areas.Able to demonstrate proficiency in ability to work in areas that require advanced cleaning techniques such as Surgery, Labor & Delivery, NICU, Emergency Room (on shifts/situations, campuses where caregivers work in multiple areas) and Floorcare.

Interaction/contact with visitors, patients or staff can vary from limited to high.Consistently and routinely demonstrates both skill and knowledge in the safe use of chemicals, equipment, cleaning techniques and infection control methods necessary to maintain the departments established quality standards.Is knowledgeable and demonstrates competence in the safe handling and removal of medical waste, inclusive of hazardous, regulated, infectious, recyclable, and innocuous (regular) waste.Is knowledgeable and able to demonstrate competence in computer use with high level of frequency required.
