Job summary

McLeod Health in Myrtle Beach, SC seeks a hospital housekeeping professional to maintain a clean, aseptic environment and support patient care areas. You will perform standard housekeeping tasks, waste removal, surface cleaning, and linen handling while upholding Service Excellence Standards.

Qualifications

• Previous hospital/commercial housekeeping or floor technician experience is preferred.
• Good communication skills and professional telephone etiquette are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.
• Provide a clean and aseptic environment by performing housekeeping duties including waste removal, dusting, cleaning, sanitizing, dust and damp mopping, biohazard spill cleanup, soiled linen removal, making beds, and vacuuming.
• Use computers for training, data collection, and routine room turnover operations.
• Keep records, logs, and submit daily activity.
• Report via schedule worksheets and/or task sequence sheets.
• Adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• Follow applicable regulatory agency laws.
• Change drapes and cubicle curtains.
• Proficiency in use of floor and carpet care equipment (battery operated and corded).
• Become proficient in restorative, interim and routine floor and carpet care procedures.
• Remove bulk biohazard and solid waste.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
