UMC Health System is seeking an Environmental Services Worker to support infection control through proper cleaning and sanitation across hospital and campus sites. Reports to: Supervisor, Environmental Services.
Responsibilities include housekeeping in patient rooms and public areas, disinfecting isolation rooms, waste and linen handling, and maintaining orderly utility spaces. Prior hospital experience preferred with a 90-day training completion.

This position will have interaction with patients, their families, and hospital medical staff.
Requires wear or personal protective equipment (PPE); Ability to lift/move various types of equipment, supplies/chemicals, and furniture of light/medium weight. Work requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting and stretching.
This position is subject to indoor and outdoor environmental changes that may include varying temperatures. Exposure to chemicals used in cleaning supplies and blood/ blood borne pathogens is highly likely.
