Job summary

Avem Health Partners seeks an Environmental Services Technician to maintain clean and orderly patient rooms, nursing units, and common areas. You will follow infection prevention guidelines, handle supplies, and assist in room turnover for incoming and discharging patients.

Whether on day, evening, or night shift, you will perform duties with professionalism, report hazards, and collaborate with physicians, health plans, and staff to uphold high cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-year experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
• Completes work assignments in a timely manner.
• Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
• Uses and maintains equipment properly.
• Maintains and adheres to housekeeping detail standards.
• Reports safety hazards as appropriate.
• Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area.
• Replenishes supplies.
• Follows infection prevention and control practices, including Standard Precautions, Transmission-Based Precautions and hand hygiene.
• Keeps up with quality standards and works within the Avem Health Partners policies.
• Wears identification and adheres to timekeeping procedures.
• Works various shifts (day/evening/night) as assigned.
• Assists in setting up meeting rooms as needed.

Education

JOB PURPOSE:Maintains the facility, common areas, and grounds are clean, neat and orderly condition.
