Job summary

Intermountain Health Delta Community Hospital in Delta, Utah is seeking a part-time housekeeping associate to clean and disinfect patient and public areas following department procedures and safety standards.

You will handle chemicals correctly, dispose of waste per Joint Commission and OSHA rules, and contribute to infection prevention. Shifts include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays with differential pay. Hourly pay ranges from $17.68 to $22.99; part-time benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated communication skills to include differentiating color-coded labels and/or chemicals as well as following written and/or verbal directions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to meet the needs of the department.
• Demonstrated professional housekeeping experience. (Preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs


• Frequent interactions with customers require employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately


• Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use


• Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
