Job summary

Augusta Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician (EVS Tech) to perform cleaning, stripping, waxing, and stocking duties in hospital areas, ensuring sanitation and safety standards are met. The role includes hazardous waste handling in compliance with regulations and contributes to a patient‑centered environment.

Ideal candidates have strong reliability and the ability to follow procedures; high school level readiness is acceptable and driving Augusta Health vehicles may be required

Qualifications

• Education: None
• Licensure/Certification: None
• Experience: Less than 6 months
• Driver’s License: Yes (to drive an Augusta Health Vehicle, must also be 21 and MVR approved)
• Eligibility to work in the United States and meet Virginia state employment requirements

Responsibilities

• Washes walls with equipment or by hand.
• Cleans elevators & stairwells including walls, rails, floors, doors, fire hose boxes, tracks, and lights according to housekeeping procedures.
• Performs all duties of Environmental Services Aide.
• Operates cleaning equipment to remove floor finishes and applies new finish.
• Cleans carpet removing soil and spills using various equipment and techniques.
• Handles various waste up to 8 hours per day in accordance with policy & procedures.
