Job summary

Boys Town National Research Hospital in Omaha, NE is seeking a dedicated custodian to perform cleaning and disinfection in exam rooms, classrooms, gym, and other areas at the Residential Treatment Center. The role follows regulatory standards and requires reliable shift coverage.

You will maintain a safe, uncluttered environment, report hazards, secure buildings at day end, and follow directions with approved chemicals and PPE.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read, and write basic English required.
• High school or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and maintenance cleaning and disinfection processes in areas assigned (i.e. exam rooms, classroom, gym, locker room auditorium, office, cafeteria, restrooms, showers, etc.) in adherence to all regulatory and accreditation standards (CMS, Joint Commission, etc.).
• Maintains an uncluttered environment; identifies and reports possible safety hazards.
• Secure buildings at the end of the day to ensure security and confinement (doors and windows).
• Spot clean walls, wash windows as needed and remove waste and litter.
• Utilizes approved chemicals according to manufacturer directions with appropriate PPE.
• Reports safety concerns when identified.
• Completes all required training and competencies as assigned.
