Job summary

Atrium Health Cleveland - Environmental Services is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Technician to promote a clean, safe hospital environment. The role includes cleaning, waste handling, and adherence to infection control guidelines in a fast-paced setting.

The position offers a 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM, EOW) with competitive pay of $18.50/hour plus comprehensive benefits, tuition assistance, wellness incentives, parental leave, and retirement contributions.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Preferred: One year experience
• Can prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner
• Can operate equipment
• Can establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers

Responsibilities

• Perform complete cleaning of assigned areas including dusting, washing, sweeping, vacuuming, restrooms restocking
• Manage waste: collecting soiled linen, emptying trash, replacing sharps containers, recycling
• Keep equipment clean and report failures to maintenance staff
• Maintain safe working environment following infection control guidelines and departmental standards
• Attend required in-service education and training to maintain knowledge
• Work mostly indoors with occasional outdoor cleaning tasks and ladders
• Meet time schedules and deadlines consistently
