Marquette is recruiting for a hospitality focused Environmental Services Supervisor to join our team. This position oversees the day-to-day operation of the Environmental Services Department and maintains compliance with Federal and State Regulations.

The Supervisor trains and supervises all housekeepers, orders supplies, chemicals and equipment, assists with budget preparation, and works within budgetary guidelines while fostering excellent relations with residents and promoting a positive

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus (not required).
• Good oral and written communications skills are essential.
• Prior 1-2 years housekeeping supervisory experience in a retirement community, hotel or health care setting required.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and infection control procedures required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the performance of all housekeepers through personal inspections of apartments and Health Center rooms, as assigned.
• Assists in the training, evaluating, and disciplining all housekeepers.
• Coordinates the scheduling of all patient room cleaning and discharge procedures including monthly room details.
• Conducts inventories of all housekeeping supplies, and places monthly orders for all housekeeping supplies.
• Coordinates the scheduling of all special cleaning projects.
• Performs the duties of a Housekeeper as necessary and may be required to work weekends to fulfill department staffing needs.

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for maintaining excellent relations with the residents and promoting good departmental morale.

Salary Range: $18-24 an hour (based on experience)

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a EVS Supervisor include but are not limited to:

1. Supervises the performance of all housekeepers through personal inspections of apartments and Health Center rooms, as assigned.
2. Assists in the training, evaluating, and disciplining all housekeepers.
3. Coordinates the scheduling of all patient room cleaning and discharge procedures including monthly room details.
4. Conducts inventories of all housekeeping supplies, and places monthly orders for all housekeeping supplies.
5. Coordinates the scheduling of all special cleaning projects.
