S&ME is seeking an Environmental Services Manager/Project Manager to lead our Nashville environmental team. You will oversee staff and projects, collaborate with clients, and work across service lines to pursue opportunities and deliver successful site assessments, hazardous materials work, and environmental compliance programs.

The role emphasizes leadership, client management, and program delivery in a dynamic, multi-project environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience conducting and managing environmental projects.
• TN Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist license preferred.
• Experience leading and developing teams with a solid understanding of safety, quality, metrics, HR policies, and risk management.
• Strong communication with clients, staff, and regulatory personnel.
• Proven skills in project management, client management, and business development.

S&ME is looking for an experienced and motivated Environmental Services Manager to build and strengthen our Environmental team in Nashville, Tennessee. About the Role:

In this role, you'll oversee environmental staff and projects while working closely with clients, project managers, and other S&ME service lines. Our Nashville team supports diverse land and infrastructure development, roads and bridges, and public and private projects for local governments, school districts, developers, and other clients. Projects span Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, hazardous materials, lead and asbestos assessments, environmental compliance, site investigations, and many other

• Lead, mentor, and develop team members while supporting their professional growth and success.
• Drive performance across key areas including safety, quality, people development, financial results, and risk management.
• Align project needs with qualified staff and certifications to maximize team utilization and project profitability.
• Build S&ME's presence in the Nashville community by engaging with local organizations, industry groups, and professional networks.
• Collaborate with project managers and leaders across service lines to identify opportunities, bring in the right resources, and support successful project pursuits and delivery.

About You:

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental science or related field.
• You have 8+ years of experience conducting and managing environmental projects.
• You have a TN Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist license preferred
  • Additional environmental certifications/accreditations are a plus
• You have demonstrated successful team leadership and management with a good understanding of safety policies/procedures, quality, business metrics, human resources policies/procedures, and risk management concepts
• You have excellent communication skills with clients, staff, and regulatory personnel
• You have effective technical, project management, client management, and business development
