Job summary

University Health System- San Antonio is seeking a Supervisor for Environmental Services to lead housekeeping activities within a designated care zone. You will ensure clean, safe facilities and maintain compliance with JCAHO and TDH standards, MSDS, and emergency kits.

You will oversee staff, train associates in proper cleaning practices, manage inventory at shift start, and respond to emergency or priority requests ensuring efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Must speak, read and write English clearly.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months to 1 year housekeeping experience required.
• More than 3 years housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Environmental Services associates for a specific care zone.
• Ensure compliance with JCAHO and TDH standards.
• Maintain MSDS and inspect handling compliance; manage emergency kits.
• Respond to emergencies by reassigning staff as needed.
