Job summary

BGE, Inc. in Houston is offering an internship for full-time students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related disciplines.

You will be mentored by experienced engineers and gain hands-on experience on public and private infrastructure projects. As part of the program, you will attend career development events, participate in training, and contribute to team efforts while learning industry software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Must be a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Proficient with MS Office and able to learn industry-specific software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Collaborative team player with ability to work well on a team.
• Willingness and ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Work on a team while learning and being mentored by BGE employees.
• Attend specific events and training geared toward career development. Interns will participate in intern-specific activities in addition to normal work activities.
