Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc seeks an Experienced Environmental Services Department Manager for a long-term care facility. You will lead housekeeping, laundry, and floor care teams, ensuring compliance with policies and state/federal requirements while delivering safe, clean environments for residents.

You will train staff, monitor quality, maintain records, and liaise with administrators to uphold HCSG standards and a professional service culture.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Two years of experience in healthcare housekeeping and supervision preferred.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • COVID-19 vaccination policies compliance.
  • Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff, ensuring compliance with policies and state/federal requirements.
  • Lead teams in light/heavy housekeeping and laundry aide duties across shifts.
  • Lead staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions to ensure timely project completion.
  • Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
  • Liaise between building occupants/administrators and HCSG staff; communicate directives effectively.
  • Use protective gear and ensure safe handling of cleaning solutions and safety precautions.
  • Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and task completion.
  • Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with staff, residents, and guests.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Able to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
  • Residency within the service area required.
