Healthcare Services Group, Inc. in Mississippi seeks an Environmental Services Department Manager to lead housekeeping, laundry, and floor care teams in a long-term care facility. You will supervise staff, ensure compliance with policies and safety standards, and coordinate shift coverage.

This role emphasizes training, quality control, and effective communication with administrators and residents, delivering clean, safe environments while maintaining records and supporting program goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of healthcare housekeeping and supervision preferred.
• Residency within the service area required.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand/bend for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and federal/state requirements.
• Perform and lead teams in light and heavy housekeeping and laundry aide duties across varying shifts.
• Lead staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; ensure timely completion of projects and programs.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment using company software.
• Act as liaison between occupants/administrators and HCSG staff; communicate directives effectively.
• Ensure safety; use protective gear properly and adhere to safety precautions.
• Maintain attendance, punctuality, and timely task completion.
• Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with supervisors, staff, residents, and guests.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of experience in healthcare housekeeping and supervision preferred.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area required.
