Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager for UNC Nash Hospital in Rocky Mount, NC. The 345-bed facility includes off-site buildings and operates on a second shift (1:30pm-11:30pm).

You will lead a team of about 50 across six sites, with responsibilities in bed tracking, patient satisfaction, and ensuring safety and efficiency. In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee frontline teams to deliver exceptional environmental services that prioritize safety,

Job description

We are seeking an Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager for UNC Nash Hospital in Rocky Mount, NC. This is a 345 bed hospital about one hour from Raleigh, that includes some off-site buildings. This is a Second Shift role (1:30pm-11:30pm).

The successful candidate will have experience in healthcare EVS and linen distribution. This role will oversee a team of 50 supporting 6 sites at this facility. You will have experience with bed tracking, patient satisfaction, and possess computer skills.

About The Job

In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee frontline teams to deliver exceptional environmental services that prioritize safety, compliance, and efficiency. You’ll manage daily operations, guide team development, and help maintain high standards that create clean, healthy, and welcoming environments.

Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression within Career Band reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities. Accountable for business, functional or operational areas, processes or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management.

Pay Range:

$64600 per year - $83600 per year
