Responsibilities

• Deliver professional cleaning services throughout the hospital and clinic area, with emphasis on disinfecting surfaces in patient rooms, restrooms, corridors, cafeterias, lounges, classrooms, offices and exam rooms.
• Maintain outside entry glass as weather permits to uphold facility image.
• Promptly provide cleaning services to areas as requested by Environmental Services Manager/Supervisor/Lead or other hospital personnel.
• Perform laundry tasks such as filling carts with clean linen, distributing linen, emptying dirty linen, and aiding in par levels in each department.
• Assist in cleaning at offsite clinic locations when requested by the Environmental Services Manager/Supervisor.
• Perform other duties such as carpet cleaning, burnishing floors, stripping/finishing floors.
• Demonstrate UnityPoint Health values and adhere to policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance and complete annual education and competency requirements.

An Environmental Services Associate, under the general direction of an Environmental Services Supervisor, performs general cleaning activities and helps distribute laundry throughout Allen Hospital and surrounding clinics. Responsibilities

• Deliver professional cleaning services throughout the hospital and clinic area, with emphasis on disinfecting surfaces in: patient rooms, restrooms, corridors/stairwells, cafeteria/kitchen, lounge areas/waiting areas, classrooms, offices, exam rooms, etc. in accordance with standard operating procedures of the department.
• Maintain outside entry glass as the weather permits to uphold the image of the facility.
• Promptly provide cleaning services to any area of the hospital if requested by the Environmental Services Manager/Supervisor/Lead or other hospital personnel.
• Perform laundry tasks as needed/requested such as: fill laundry carts with clean linen; distribute linen throughout the hospital; empty dirty linen from linen chutes; aid in providing accurate par levels in each department.
• Assist in cleaning at offsite clinic locations when requested to do so by the Environmental Services Manager/Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned: cleaning carpets, burnishing floors, stripping/finishing hard surface floors, etc.
• Demonstrates the UnityPoint Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines.
• Demonstrates ability to meet business needs of department with regular, reliable attendance.
• Completes all annual education and competency requirements within the calendar year.
