Job summary

Mary Rutan Health is seeking a reliable cleaning professional to maintain a clean hospital environment across patient rooms, nursing stations, waiting areas and treatment spaces. Adherence to department policies and use of standard disinfectants and equipment are required.

Job Summary -To take the actions necessary to maintain a clean hospital, including cleaning patient rooms, nursing stations, waiting rooms, outpatient treatment areas, restrooms, offices, entrances, elevators, stairwells and miscellaneous ancillary areas, as assigned. Cleaning will be in accordance with department policies and procedures. Will use the standard cleaning chemicals, supplies and equipment, such as disinfectants, glass cleaner, general purpose cleaner, dust mop, wet mop, dusters and vacuum cleaner.Regulatory RequirementsHigh School graduate or equivalent preferred.Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices as they are performed in modern health care facilities, but previous experience is not required.Must have reliable transportation.Language SkillsAbility to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.Additional languages preferred.Excellent interpersonal skills.SkillsBasic computer knowledge.Able to use dust mop and wet mop for various periods of time.Able to clean up unpleasant messes (blood, vomit, urine, etc.)
