Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Assistant Manager to oversee cleaning and sanitation at a long-term care facility. You will support the EVS Manager, coordinate daily operations, and ensure high cleanliness standards.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to train staff on infection control, safety, and PPE usage. Residency in the service area is required, with a pay rate of $15.00–$17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in environmental services, housekeeping or facilities management preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; able to motivate a team.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and safety regulations.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the EVS Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
• Maintain records of cleaning schedules, staff assignments, and supplies inventory.
• Conduct training sessions on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and infection control measures.
• Effectively communicate with staff, residents, and facility management regarding needs and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies, including PPE usage.
• Perform quality inspections of cleaning tasks and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Represent HCSG positively through courteous and cooperative interactions with supervisors, co-workers, clients, residents, and guests.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area is required.
