Job summary

VMFH Rehab Hospital, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health, seeks an Environmental Services Aide for a union, PRN role to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment and support infection control. You will contribute to a positive patient experience through thorough cleaning and organization.

Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, and offices; stocking supplies; operating cleaning equipment; and reporting safety hazards.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred; cleaning or housekeeping experience strongly preferred.
• Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls, and windows according to daily schedule.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, and shine floors; replenish paper and soap products; clean mirrors, sinks, and toilets.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
• Collect and remove trash from all areas of the facility daily.
• Stock linens throughout the hospital to ensure unit readiness.
• Adhere to all infection control policies and report safety hazards to supervisors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
