Role Overview:

• Safely remove general, infectious waste and soiled linen following hospital procedures and safety guidelines
• Handle and mix cleaning chemicals according to safety and infection control standards
• Use equipment such as the cardboard baler and trash compactor properly and safely
• Support unit operations by completing small moves or room setups as needed
• Participate in department meetings and required training sessions
• Complete additional projects or assignments as directed by leadership
• Share ideas for improving efficiency, safety, and workflow as part of MSK’s culture of continuous improvement

Key Qualifications:

• No prior Environmental Services experience required — if you meet the basic qualifications and bring the right mindset, we’ll provide the training you need to succeed
• Ability to operate or learn to use floor-cleaning equipment and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and pushing for extended periods
• Capable of lifting at least 30 lbs
• Basic computer knowledge to support communication and training
