Job summary

Washington Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Worker to clean and service building areas, move equipment, supplies and furniture, and maintain a neat, orderly, and sanitary hospital environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; healthcare or hospitality EVS preferred; physical stamina to perform continuous strenuous effort, lift 26–50 lbs, and operate floor cleaning machines.

Salary Range

$35.61 - $40.67 plus applicable per diem differential

Job Summary

According to the established procedure #338, cleans and services building areas. Moves equipment, supplies and furniture in and around all areas. Performs a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition. In addition to performing the essential functions below, may also be assigned other duties as required.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, required.

Work Experience

• Healthcare or hospitality environmental services, preferred.

Skills and Abilities

• Continuous strenuous physical effort, required.
• Ability to lift/carry 26 - 50 lbs.
• Ability to safely operate floor cleaning machines.
