Job summary

PrairieCare in Minnesota is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to maintain clean patient rooms, offices and common areas in a fast-paced healthcare setting. You will operate floor care equipment, wash windows, change linens, handle trash, and stock supplies while adhering to Joint Commission and CDC safety guidelines.

Training will prepare you to support safety and facility standards. Compensation ranges from $16 to $21 per hour, with competitive equity considerations based on education

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Environmental Services experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission and CDC safety guidelines preferred.
• Experience with industrial cleaning machines preferred.
• Ability to multitask safely and cost-effectively.
• Willing to learn carpet/floor care machines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Change linens and clean units including patient rooms, group rooms, offices and common areas.
• Clean and extract all floor surfaces using floor care equipment and maintain the equipment.
• Wash interior and exterior windows.
• Trash removal and stock supplies.
• Maintain safety by complying with Joint Commission standards and CDC guidelines.
• After training, manage disruptive or explosive patients with emphasis on safety.
