Job summary

Mahnomen Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to clean, sanitize, and maintain private and common spaces within the facility. The role involves thorough cleaning across patient and resident areas, including bathrooms and dining spaces.

Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks throughout the facility.
• Transport cleaning supplies with cleaning cart.
• Disinfects patient, resident rooms and common areas incl. bathrooms and dining areas.
• Wipes and dusts surfaces.
• Vacuum and clean floors, furniture, drapes.
• Picks up and empties trash.
• Loads washers/dryers and folds laundry as needed.
• Notifies Facilities if something is not working properly.

Job Summary:

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout facility.


• Uses cleaning cart to transport cleaning supplies.


• Cleans and disinfects patient rooms, resident rooms and common spaces including bathrooms and dining areas.


• Wipes and dusts surfaces throughout the facility.


• Vacuums and cleans floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes.


• Picks up and empties trash containers.


• Loads washers and dryers and folds laundry in laundry room as needed.


• Notifies Facilities if something is not working properly.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Detail-oriented and thorough.


• Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of patients, residents, and/or guests.


• Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.

Education and Experience:

Education sufficient to read, write, and speak as needed for the job.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds at times.
